We primarily serve the Chicago, Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area.  We have traveled as far as Colorado, Florida and even to Mexico upon request.

In Illinois, the towns we have worked in include Barrington, North Chicago, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Highland Park, Naperville, Elgin, St. Charles,  Geneva and more.  And because Eileen lives on a rural farm west of the western suburbs, Stonehenge Artisans has done decorative painting and murals in Earlville, Paw Paw, Sandwich, Waterman, Dixon, and more.

We have been developing unique finishes and decorative treatments for our customers since 1994.

“Faux painting or faux finishing are terms used to describe a decorative paint finishes that replicate the appearance of materials such as marble, wood or stone. The term comes from the French word faux, meaning false, as these techniques started as a form of replicating materials such as marble and wood with paint, but has subsequently come to encompass many other decorative finishes for walls and furniture including simulating recognizable textures and surfaces.”
